Aichi Prefectural University, which started as Aichi Prefectural Woman's Special College in 1947, has been meeting the expectations of the local community and society for nearly 80 years. In Aichi, a region with a rich cultural and economic background, we will continue to be a center of knowledge and a link between people and learning.

In the 21st century, as part of a "knowledge-based society", we aim to be a "center of knowledge" in which researchers who boldly challenge the pursuit of knowledge and students who are passionate about acquiring knowledge mutually enlighten and learn from each other.

In this "era of decentralization," as a public university responding to the growing demand for higher education, we promote quality research and quality education backed by this research, and we use research results to contribute to local and international communities.

Highlights

With a campus situated outside the big city and in harmony with nature, Aichi Prefectural University offers an enriching learning environment for international exchange students. The exchange program at Aichi Prefectural University has a unique structure that combines Japanese language education with active learning on a broad range of topics. For example, our “Topic Discussion” course challenges exchange students to comparatively analyze Japanese cultural practices alongside those of their respective origins and to share their findings with other students.
